Protein Pizza Recipe

Notes:

A high protein low carb substitution for pizza night.  Gives you lots of protein, without all the carbs , fat and calories

 

 

 

Servings: one pizza

Ingredients:
3 eggs
3 cups shredded low fat mozzarella cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
1/4 cup low carb marinara or pizza sauce.
1 cup LF Mozzarella cheese
2 links Italian sausage (browned and crumbled) (I use turkey or chicken)
12 slices Turkey pepperoni

Directions:
Heat oven to 450 degrees for at least 10 minutes.
In a bowl thoroughly combine
3 eggs
3 cups shredded low fat mozzarella cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
Press evenly into Pam sprayed pizza pan or cookie sheet
(this makes one 16 inch pizza crust)
Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown (about 10 to 15 minutes)
Add toppings of your choice
1/4 cup low carb marinara or pizza sauce.
1 cup LF Mozzarella cheese
2 links Italian sausage (browned and crumbled) (I use turkey or chicken)
12 slices Turkey pepperoni
After adding toppings, run the pizza under the broiler until cheese is melted and toppings are bubbly.

      In Susan Weed’s book herbal for the cdinhbearilg year, she suggests that having a build up of hormones can also cause the sickness. She says that walking outside can help break down the buildup of hormones. I am not sure if this is true, but found with my current pregnancy that walking helped tremendously with my mild morning sickness. Also eating frequent protein helped a lot. What sounded good changed day to day. I usually eat “crispy nuts,” but during morning sickness I would roast the crispy almonds and add some tamari or braggs. They were also good with raisins. Fresh almond milk was good as well as eggs and bean spreads.

      This argument would be more effvctiee and less inflammatory without the use of straw man arguments and generalizations such as most vaccine pushers do such and such. It sounds like you are venting so it is hard to take it very seriously. As a registered nurse I consider myself a vaccine pusher, which is why I was interested in this. Just a friendly suggestion from someone with a different perspective. I do respect other people’s right to choose even though I strongly encourage vaccinations. Have a nice day

      Thank you Kate! I have been reading your blog for a while and I rellay appreciate the information you provide. I’m so glad you are doing a series like this. I’ve chosen the selective vaccination approach so far for our 2 kids, but I am always learning and reading and changing our ways as I learn. I’m looking forward to going deeper into some of these topics. Thanks!
