Banana Stuffed French Toast Recipe

APPARENTLY IF YOU USE FF CREAM CHEESE IT WILL LOWER THE PTS A LITTLE BIT…SAME IF USING A HIGH FIBER BREAD.
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
2 TBSP Light Cream Cheese at room temp.
4 slices cinnamon raisin bread
1 ripe banana, thinly sliced
1/4 Cup low fat milk
1 large egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. unsalted butter
2 TBSP maple syrup
6 fresh strawberries, hulled & sliced
Directions:
1- Spread cream cheese on the bread. Divide the banana over the 2 slices of the bread and top each with a slice of remaining bread.
2- Combine the milk, egg & vanilla in a small bowl…beat lightly.
3- Melt the butter in a large non stick skillet over medium heat. Briefly dip the sandwiches one at a time into the egg mixture. Place both sandwiches in the skillet.
4- Cook until golden brown.
5- when done, top each with syrup and 3 of the sliced strawberries.
