Cincinnati-style chili Recipe

Notes:
serving= 1 cup w/ 1 TBSP sour cream
279 cal, 9 gram fat, 4 sat fat, 1 trans fat, 54 mg chol, 414 mg sodium, 31 g carb, 7 g fiber, 21 g protein

Servings: 6

Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef
28 oz can crushed tomatoes in puree
2 red onions
4 carrots
1/3 c BBQ sauce
3 Tbsp chili powder
2 TBSP red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp light molasses
1 Tbsp paprika
1/2 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cloves (I LEFT OUT)
1 Tbsp cornmeal
1/4 C sour cream

Directions:
brown beef and break up.
add all BUT sour cream and cornmeal.

cook in crockpot 4-5 on high 8-10 on low
about 20 mins before end, add cornmeal and stir.
Cover and cook on high 15 mins.
serve with sour cream

Lots of ways to cut back points on this…..no sour cream, light sour cream, extra lean ground beef, no cornmeal.

Crustless Chili Quiche Recipe

This is an oldie from back in the WW Selections days…..
1/4 Quiche is 1 fat 2 proteins, 30 optional calories OR 4 PTS
187 Calories, 8 Grams Fat, 3 Grams Saturated Fat, 17 mg Cholesterol, 750 mg sodium, 10 g Total Carbs, 0 Fiber, 17 g Protein, 153 mg Calcium

Servings: 4

Ingredients:
1 Cup FF Egg Subsitute
3 TBSP Flour
2 TBSP + 2 tsp reduced calorie Margarine melted
1 TBSP Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp Salt
3-4 drops hot sauce
1 C Non fat Cottage Cheese
1 1/2 oz Monterey Jack Cheese, grated
1/4 C Chopped green chiles
1/4 C Roasted Red Peppers, drained and chopped
1 TBSP freshley grated Parmesean Cheese

Banana Stuffed French Toast Recipe

WW 7 pts or 352 cal. 11 g fat, 124 Chol. 289 mg Sodium, 56 gr carbs, 4 g fiber, 10 gram protein

APPARENTLY IF YOU USE FF CREAM CHEESE IT WILL LOWER THE PTS A LITTLE BIT…SAME IF USING A HIGH FIBER BREAD.

Servings: 2

Ingredients:
2 TBSP Light Cream Cheese at room temp.
4 slices cinnamon raisin bread
1 ripe banana, thinly sliced
1/4 Cup low fat milk
1 large egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. unsalted butter
2 TBSP maple syrup
6 fresh strawberries, hulled & sliced

Directions:
1- Spread cream cheese on the bread. Divide the banana over the 2 slices of the bread and top each with a slice of remaining bread.
2- Combine the milk, egg & vanilla in a small bowl…beat lightly.
3- Melt the butter in a large non stick skillet over medium heat. Briefly dip the sandwiches one at a time into the egg mixture. Place both sandwiches in the skillet.
4- Cook until golden brown.
5- when done, top each with syrup and 3 of the sliced strawberries.

Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes Recipe

WW 6 points = 1/2 C serving (Deduct pts if using lite rolls) OR
285 calories, 7 Fat, 51 mg Cholesterol, 770 Sodium, 34 carbs, 3 grams fiber, 21 grams protein

Servings: 6

Ingredients:
1 pound Lean ground beef
1 14 1/2 oz can RoTel (diced tomatoes w/ green pepper, celery & onion)
3 TBSP Brown sugar
2 tsp worchestshire sauce
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
1- Brown beef in a large skillet
2- Transfer to a large crockpot and add all other ingredients

Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hours
Recipe can EASILY be doubled if you have a large family like me!

Five Baked Beans Recipe

Servings: 12-24

Ingredients:
6 slice Turkey Bacon
1Cup Chopped Onions
1 Clove Minced Garlic
16 oz each Lima Beans, Pork & Beans (DO NOT DRAIN), Red Kidney Beans, Butter Beans, Garbanzo Beans. DRAIN all BUT Pork & Beans
3/4 Cup Ketchup
1/2 Cup Molasses
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 TBSP Mustard (I use brown)
1 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce

Directions:
1- Cook bacon until brown
2- Combine all ingreidents in a 5 quart crockpot
3- Cover cook on low 10-12 hours or high 4-5 hours
